The other morning, I went to wash my hands with toothpaste and it was only 6:45 in the morning. To say that December teaching 6-9 years kicked my butt is an understatement. Add in my own children with their activities and then all the responsibilities of Christmas… I was pretty much a wreck. A wreck with a million things to get done.

I think a few years ago, I wrote a blog post about making the holidays more simplistic. That was part time working me talking. That was no winter sports for my kids me talking. I wish I could give advice about simplifying things, but you know what? This a hectic time of the year!

No matter what I do at home or school the little guys will always have visions of sugar plums not multiplication facts dancing in their heads immediately following Thanksgiving break!

So tonight as I enter my holiday break, we are watching old childhood favorites on TV (kids complaining the whole time) and I am in jammies eating hundreds of cookies!

Cheers!
